Above is my FAVORITE commercial from this summer Olympics. I actually got teary watching it. I know…SAP!! I love to cheer for and purchase products from companies that support a local farmer, are quality products and think about the person consuming the product…not just the profit that comes from the product. For me Chobani embodies all these ideals. So to see a ‘young’ company have such a big role on the international stage the Olympics sets, it makes me so proud of them.
I am on twitter (follow me HERE) and so is Chobani. Follow them too. The other week CHO posted a photo of some yummy yogurt. The closer I looked they were flavors I had never seen in my area! Blood Orange, Passion Fruit and Pomegranate. I LOVE all those fruits! I was so excited to see CHO had them as a flavor option but sad that I had yet to see them in my area. So I did what every good twitter person does… I asked…where do I find them?

Through a few tweets and a few emails later the lovely folks at Chobaini was going to send me some of the yummy flavors that are so hard (if not impossible) to find in my area. OH WOW!!!!

Here they are!! I received 4 cups of each flavor.

Passion fruit…fruit on the bottom…low fat.

Blood Orange…fruit on the bottom…non-fat.

Pomegranate..fruit on the bottom… non-fat.

My son (who is two) saw what was in the box and exclaimed, ‘It for me!? I eat now?’ The kid loves him some yummy Chobani. So we popped open a blood orange yogurt and stirred it up. I took a taste and OH MY GOSH!!! It was like biting into a blood orange coulis dancing with Chobani thick, cream yogurt in my mouth. The problem was my son saw me take a bit of ‘his’ yogurt and wanted that bite back. LOUDLY he wanted his bite back. Ummm. It was in my tummy. Sorry kid.

Here is the pomegranate. I love the bits of pomegranate seeds that are part of the flavoring. Not just yummy juice, seeds too!

This one is a favorite. If you have never tried passion fruit you NEED to try this one. It tastes like pineapple, mango and a kiwi had a love baby. One again Chobani has the edible seeds of the passion fruit in the yogurt. Just crunch right through them. I compare them to large kiwi seeds.

But here is the little sweetie that started the whole conversation. Blood Orange I love you. Blood orange is an orange but the flavor is so much more concentrated than a traditional orange. It is intense and fabulous.I think this flavor would be solo good if it were stirred and then frozen. Frozen blood orange Chobani! OH MY !!!!

So I think I have sung my parises of Chobani enough in this post…although my love for CHO will not waver. It is always nice to share when ever possible.
