When ever I go places with my family I am scoping out the food. What is it? Where is it? What is IN it? How much will it cost me? What are my choices? Will my kids eat it? Will it be boring? Will I feel like a big lazy lump after eating it?
Let me start by saying I was IMPRESSED with the food at Turkey Hill Experience. I consider myself a ‘foodie’. Some might even go so far as to say ‘food snob’. I like to say ‘well developed palette’. Not knowing what to expect when it came to the selections at the creamery I went in hopeful but not expecting much. Each menu has its own highlights. For the green board pictured above it was the Peachy Keen Panini. More on that later.
The kids menu had items that kids would actually eat. All reasonably priced and with the exception of the chicken tenders, none of it was fried! In fact fries or chips were not even an option as a side! Imagine that. A reasonably priced kids menu that features items real kids would eat. Now I will overlook the hot dog option. Everyone makes mistakes. For those of you who do not know me personally, I am anti-hotdog. That is a whole another blog post entirely and we will just leave it at that.
The Soup & Salad menu features regional favorites such as chicken corn soup, chicken pot pie and stuffed tomato salad. For those of you who are not from this region these would be great menu items to try to get a sample of the cuisine of the area.
Oh and did I mention that you also get your choice of pasta salad or fresh cut fruit? No ‘do you want fries with that?’ here at THE! This mother thanks you. Wash it all down with your choice of Turkey Hill lemonade or tea and you are all set. Don’t know what drink to get? Try what ever your personaliTEA recommended for you.

Italian Panini
Fresh sliced tomato with gooey mozzarella and fresh basil. I would have liked to have had it slightly more toasty and a bit more basil but that is me being a ‘food snob’. *Cough *Cough It was tasty, fresh and yummy.

Peachy Keen Panini
I had to ask what was in this sandwich and found out it was turkey, salsa, peaches and cheese. At first it sounds a little unconventional but let me tell you this is AWESOME!!!! Who ever made this sandwich was having a wonderful food moment when they dreamed it up. Oh, and the counter helpers said they are going to be getting descriptions for the menu.

Here are some photos of some yummy Turkey Hill ice cream labels. Just to tease you.

And some more. The gelato was out of this world. I know Turkey Hill has wonderful ice cream but the gelato was the highlight of my lunch. Smooth and creamy do not describe the intensity of the smoothness and the creaminess. I am just reveling in the memories of the flavors and textures of the experience.
