I can’t tell you how excited I am that Blue Avocado has teamed up with HIPAP to bring you this weeks giveaway. They have the most wonderful reusable shopping bags. They cut down on the amount of bags that end up in our landfills, streams and oceans. If you can do all that AND look cute while you pinch your pennies … what is better than that!?

More from Blue Avocado:
WHAT CAN I DO?
Assess Your Carbon Footprint
Awareness breeds change. The average American household emits 55,000 pounds of CO2 each year. Find out how big your impact is on the planet and start reducing it today. Click here to start
Electricity production is the leading source of carbon dioxide emissions from fossil fuel combustion. Switching to green power, made from sources like wind and water, can dramatically decrease your household’s carbon footprint.
Take Public Transportation
If the number of Americans taking public transit to work increased by 10% we could reduce CO2 emissions by almost 6,000,000,000 pounds per year.
Recycle
For every pound of office paper recycled, CO2 emissions are reduced by 4 pounds.
Reuse
The BlueAvocado line of bags invite you to use them again and again — in fact at least 100 times a year. Invest in products that help you shift from a “disposable” to a “reusable” way of life. It feels good.

I pledge 10 bags a week! I totally cloth now!. My trunk is full of reusable bags, I carry compact bags in my purse, and I even bought biodegradable corn starch bags (look like plastic) to big up the dog doodoo in the yard since we no longer bring home plastic bags.
I like the green!

I pledge 5 bags a week. When shopping for only a couple things, I ask to simply carry them. If I buy something big, I just put it directly in the cart to the car. i hope I win!

Oh, and I like the blue bags too, but I’d be happy with any color.

I pledged 10, I try and carry the items if it’s only a few. I always forget my reusable bags so I purchase them at the register and use them as prize bags at my events.
I’d love the blue ones, so pretty I may actually remember them!
